WHAT IS THE RANGE OF A CROWNCRUISER?
The CrownCruiser range is up to 100* miles per battery.
WHAT IS THE TOP SPEED OF A CROWNCRUSER?
The 1000 watt peak power motor on all of our models is delivered as a 250 watt continuous rated power motor, with a top speed of 15.5mph. It is a street-legal Electrically PoweredAssisted Cycle (EPAC), with several riding modes. You can also buy the Off-Road Experience (ORE) that includes a throttle for private land use only. Check your local regulations for further information.
HOW CAN I OPTIMISE THE PERFORMANCE OF MY CROWNCRUISER USING RIDE MODES?
If you're planning on using your CrownCruiser on private land and for off-roading, the Crowncruiser App offers a few different riding modes. Please contact customer service for further assistance.
CAN I PRESSURE WASH MY CROWNCRUISER?
We would strongly advise against pressure washing your CrownCruiser. A sponge, water and some bike-appropriate cleaning soap will be enough to keep your CrownCruiser looking fresh.
HOW IS THE CROWNCRUISER POWERED?
By a Bafung hub motor.
WHY USE A HUB MOTOR?
A hub motor means that the power is delivered directly to the rear wheel and provides strong propulsion – enough to transport loads. This provides great torque and immediate power delivery, while also massively simplifies servicing.
WHAT FACTORS CAN AFFECT THE RANGE OF MY CROWNCRUISER?
Wheel pressure, temperature, incline and the weight of the rider all factor into the range that your CrownCruiser will be capable of delivering.
WHERE IS THE CROWNCRUISER MANUFACTURED AND ASSEMBLED?
The CrownCruiser is fully built right here in the UK, in Sheffield to be specific. We’re proud to design and build all our electric cruiser bikes in the UK.
CAN I USE THE CROWNCRUISER WHEN IT RAINS?
Yes, you can use your CrownCruiser in the rain just like any other e-bike.
DO YOU HAVE FINANCING/ PAY OFF SOLUTIONS?
Yes. The different payment options are shown in the checkout process. Accepted payment methods are Visa, MasterCard, Amex, PayPal, and Maestro. As a financing option, we offer Splitit, Klarna. We are constantly working on optimising payment solutions for our customers and have therefore different possibilities depending on where you live. A deposit of £1,000 secures an order. HOW DO I INSERT THE BATTERY INTO THE CROWNCRUISER?
You simply slot it in. Unlike other manufacturers, we’ve designed the CrownCruiser battery to be extremely simple to use – you don’t need to connect a cable once the battery is inserted, you just need to drop it in and press the power button for 5 seconds – and the battery will automatically connect.
HOW DO I CHARGE THE CROWNCRUISER BATTERY?
There are two ways to charge – with the dock, or without. If you’d like to use the dock, you can clip the charging terminal into the dock, drop the battery in, and wait for charging to complete. If you want to use the charger without the dock, you simply attach the charging terminal to the battery. The terminal is angled so that you can store the battery upright and drop the battery ‘on’ to the charging terminal, even without a dock fitted.
HOW CAN I KEEP THE CROWNCRUISER BATTERY OPTIMISED?
Try and keep your battery as full as possible. Deep-cycling (frequently and consistently taking the battery from 100% to 0%) affects the life of the battery – better to top it up when you can. If you’re not going to be using your battery for a while, we suggest storing it indoors.
HOW LONG DOES IT TAKE TO CHARGE THE CROWNCRUISER BATTERY?
In normal conditions, the CrownCruiser battery charges from 0-100% in under 4 hours. To go from 50-100% is 2 hours, and 20-80% is just over 2 hours.

IS THE APP FREE OF CHARGE?
Yes, the app can be used free of charge. In the future, CrownCruiser will launch a PRO version with features like Advanced Ride Modes, Parental Control, Crash Detection, and more. More details will be revealed in Q2 2023, stay tuned!
HOW DO I CONNECT THE BIKE TO THE APP?
Open your phone's Bluetooth settings and find your CrownCruiser under your Bluetooth devices.
HOW DO I CHANGE THE PIN OF A CROWNCRUISER?
When the bike PIN code is changed then you need to insert it again via the App to control the Lock function.
POSITION UPDATE OF THE BIKE
The last position of your CrownCruiser is sent to the app via GSM of your Bike so the location is not updated with the Bluetooth connection and might change with a slight delay. The location of your CrownCruiser is updated only when the CrownCruiser is moved.
BATTERY PERCENTAGE AND CHARGING STATUS UPDATE
If you unplug the charger while your CrownCruiser is turned off, then the app might advertise the status as "charging". As soon as you turn your bike on then the status will be corrected. The percentage of the battery and the charging status may be different when the Bluetooth is connected and when it is not connected as without bluetooth connection the information is sent from the bike to your app via GSM, which might not update instantly but in some minutes, whereas Bluetooth updates information instantly.
TRACK RIDE
Track ride is using your phone GPS to track the ride so be sure to carry your phone with you when tracking a ride.
BLUETOOTH CONNECTION
If you are unable to connect your bike to the app then try following these steps:
1. Close the app
2. Open your phone's Bluetooth settings and find your CrownCruiser under your Bluetooth devices
3. Click the “Info” button.
4. Press “Forget This Device”
5. Turn Bluetooth OFF and then back ON under settings
6. Open the app and try to connect again.
WILL MY BIKE ALWAYS HAVE THE LATEST FIRMWARE?
Yes. If your bike has an installed CrownCruiser connect module that is activated, your bike is connected over GSM which enables CrownCruiser to install and update the firmware Over The Air.
WHAT'S CELLULAR CONNECTION?
The cellular connection enables the bike to be connected, it's free of charge for a year from the delivery date. The free first year is followed by an optional subscription.
